Awareness campaign about the different forms on online gender-based violence

May 6 @ 08:00 - July 31 @ 20:00

The campaign, titled ‘Shape the shift: Defining online gender-based violence focuses on explaining the diverse forms of online gender-based violence. Online gender-based violence, including cyberbullying, harassment, doxing, and revenge porn, thrives due to internet anonymity and rapid information dissemination. The choice of this topic is to make some clarity about all these diverse forms, highlighting how to spot, prevent and report these actions.

Campaign objective

The aim is to give the audience a clearer picture of what online gender-based violence is, and in how many different forms it can manifest. Being it a recent studied and discussed argument both online and offline, there is still a lot of uncertainty regarding it. What is online gender-based violence? What is doxing, for example, and why it is a form of online gender-based violence? The campaign will answer these questions.
